Homemade Salad Dressings

When I say "salad" do you think "boooooooring"?

Let's jazz up those boring salads with some homemade dressings!

Here are two of my favorites that are in constant rotation in my fridge. Their quick, tasty and (my personal favorite part) they're prepared using kitchen staples!

RANCH:

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp onion powder

1 1/2 tsp lemon juice (about 1/4 fresh lemon)

1/2 tsp dried dill or chopped chives

1/4 tsp salt

2 Tbsp water (to thin, add 1 Tbsp at a time)

Put all ingredients in a jar with a lid and shake or a in a large bowl and whisk. Store in fridge for up to 1 week.

Adapted from Ambitious Kitchen.

BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE

1/2 cup balsamic vinegar (or red wine vinegar)

1/3 cup olive oil

1/2 tsp dijon mustard

1 1/2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup

1 clove garlic

1/4 tsp salt

black pepper to taste (I usually do 2-3 big shakes)

Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.
